Conventions
From Webresearch
Here are some conventions to ensure consistency throughout the project. Like everything else, this is work in progress, so please expect some changes.
- Account names: To keep this site more "professional", please use your First.Last name (Claude.Shannon). If either name consists of two words, please hyphenate them (Vincent.van-Gogh). If your name has already been taken, please add a .number at the end (John.Doe.3).
- Page names: Please use lower case except for acronyms or proper names. For example, data compression, Huffman codes, LDPC codes. To define a page at the beginning of a sentence, use "|", as follows. Data compression is a topic in source coding.
- Theorems etc.: Some theorems such as Pythagoras' Theorem will have a page of their own. More minor ones can be simply mentioned within a larger context.
